Historic Scotland
As Senior Designer at ABG Design, I’ve been fortunate to work alongside the interpretation team at Historic Scotland, designing a range of visitor guidebooks and leaflets for some of Scotland’s most significant heritage sites.
I’ve designed guidebooks for sites including Edinburgh Castle, Stirling Castle and Linlithgow Palace, alongside many others. Each publication combines rich photography, period illustrations and considered layouts across 100 pages. Due to the international appeal of these sites, the guidebooks were also translated into multiple languages, including Chinese, French, Spanish and German, requiring careful consideration of typography layout and content across each edition.
I’ve created numerous guidebooks and souvenir brochures for historic sites including Stirling Castle, Edinburgh Castle, Craigmillar Castle, Linlithgow Palace, Huntly Castle, Blackness Castle, Dunfermline Abbey and Arnol Blackhouse. Each publication is produced in a minimum of three languages, working closely with the interpretation team to ensure the content is engaging and accessible.
