Doncaster City Council

Doncaster has undergone a multi-million-pound urban transformation in recent years, led by Doncaster City Council to reshape and revitalise the city’s economic, cultural and residential areas.

Working closely with the strategic urban planner at Doncaster City Council, I designed a city-wide wayfinding scheme comprising fingerposts and information monoliths. Alongside the signage, I developed a bespoke city map for use across the large totems, creating a consistent visual language throughout the scheme.

The primary objective was to better connect the wider city and create a stronger sense of place. Beginning at the train station, the wayfinding system guides visitors towards Doncaster’s key sights and attractions, as well as its main shopping and retail areas.
